YAY. I'm terrible at keeping up with this, but the spring is always a ridiculously busy time. Eh, what have we got here this time? A soccer game, a study session, FBLA stuffs, etc. etc. :]

As it turns out, this picture journal is one of my many New Year's resolutions, and I want to be faithful to them, so... here's hoping I am. Not much has been happening lately, except the usual work from school. :]

This past week's stops:

1.) Varsity basketball game. Seven Lakes vs. Oak Ridge
2.) Jersey Village Computer Science contest

BTW SLHS won 65-49. )

THIS UPDATE IS FOR LEX.
Okay, I said I would try to start a picture journal, and I haven't yet, but this will be my NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION, so I'm gonna get a head start. :]

So, I've been on Christmas Break, and it's been a bit boring, but otherwise quite nice. My birthday was lovely, and Christmas was pretty fun. Hehe.

Hmmm... here goes the picture part. ;)
1.) Final exam week.
2.) Alex's birthday party.
3.) Catching up with Angela at Dad's Company Christmas Party.

Here we gooo! )

So it's been how long since I've updated my livejournal? >.>

Heh. In any case, the reason I'm going to update! I'm thinking about doing a picture journal, you know, just to remember the last two years of high school. :]

So, to start things off: I actually went to homecoming this year. :O

NO WAY. )

Oh it's been a whirlwind. I'm so tired, but I can't seem to fall asleep. Reminescent of Fix You, eh? :]

So I had Academic Decathlon State right before FBLA State, so I've been missing a lot of school. It's been a ton of fun though, catching up with the Cinco kids. Oh how I miss them! I think I'll be hitting up Nationals this year again, so that should be prett-ay exciting, right? In any case, here's some picspam just for kicks and giggles, 'kay?

Wow. Being busy isn't quite as exciting as I was hoping it would be. Actually, it's five kazillion times more exhausting than I ever imagined it would be. Mmmmm... crap AWESOME. Oh well. UIL Academics every other week, Computer Science the filler weeks, and Academic Decathlon every day after school. But hey! We're state-bound. :D Fishies and s'mores only too. WHAT NOW. ;] We were in the Houston Chronicle too, last Friday. Guess who the funny-looking Chinese girl pointing at the laptop screen is. :]

Waiting for news on the Arctic Monkeys tour really really really sucks. In other news, I miss Christina.

Edit(1/29/06): New layout, as you can see. Ft. Keira Knightley, Natalie Portman, and Scarlett Johansson. Mildly inspired by Leo's layout (the format). It's basically the same though, except for the header.

I had my sixteenth birthday party yesterday at Memorial City Mall, and it was splendiferous! :D Thanks to everyone who came for making it so so so so so much fun! We went ice skating first (now now... not too many people fell!), followed by dinner (in which Shannon's Fanta exploded). Good times, good times. I loff you all!

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. "A Certain Romance" by Arctic Monkeys
2. "Feeling Good" by Muse
3. "Juicebox" by the Strokes
4. "Unsatisfied" by Nine Black Alps
5. "Wake Up" by the Walkmen
6. "Just a Taste" by The Colour
7. Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy

NEW LAYOUT! Ft. Robert Pattinson and Katie Leung + Cedric/Cho, the best couple in Hogwarts History. :D Thanks to Daniel and his nifty buddy, they were finally able to figure out how to fix the header to match, so you guys are teh shiz. (Or in your terms, "beastly")

Ho hum. Life is boring, as per usual. College night was exciting! >.< Except I was also up to my ears in homework that day, and I was up prett-ay late completing it all and studying. Fantasmic, eh? FBLA officer meeting bright and early tomorrow too. YES! :D Last weekend was much better. Cindy's birthday party was extremely exciting... tehehehe, she's the best! Even if she didn't like my prez (Sorry, but I know you liked the cash. ;] Don't lie. And my presents are not all cold and thoughtless, Daniel!)

In other news. I love Fix You and Arctic Monkeys. Huffah!

Hmmmmmm. Saw Red Eye yesterday with Christina; I quite liked it. It certainly was suspenseful. Cillian Murphy and Rachel McAdams are both incredibly talented. x]

Also saw the two new Harry Potter trailers, which inspired this new layout. Who's stoked?! Cedric looks like... Cedric, and I still don't understand why people hate Katie Leung. Ron is funny as always, and poor Harry. Poor, poor Harry. *SQUEE*

Anyway, Friday was the last day of the six weeks. Wow. Six weeks went by already? By gosh. :O

Almost time for school!
So it must seem as if the only exciting events that occur in my life are when I go to the Galleria. How sad is that? But it's summer, and almost time to go back to school, so... I had to finish up my shopping for school supplies and clothes.

The Adventures of Emily and Fei-Fei )

So tomorrow's the Spartan Spectacular. I may finally get my first taste of Bahama Mama's. Apparently you haven't lived until you've tasted it...? o.o And I get to have a lovely meeting with all the other fantastic Academic Decathlon hopefuls. I'm so excited... I just can't fight it. Cheers!

Had a lovely day on Sunday getting some back to school clothes with one of the coolest people ever, CHRISTINA ([info]honeydexpixi). Her mom took us out to eat Korean barbecue, and it was amazing. Mmmmm. Of course, Christina was too wimpy to taste anything spicy, not even a mild little jalapeno. It's all good though because... you know. She's so freaking cool. Then we went to the Galleria and shopped around. I got a pair of jeans from Levi's, a long sleeved peachy keen shirt from fcuk (French Connection), a shirt from Urban Outfitters, a shirt from Delia's, and lipstick + lip liner from Sephora. We both got the same lipstick and shirt; it was neat. It was a great day! *beams*

Sadly, summer is coming to a close, just a bit over two weeks left. I'm gonna miss everyone who's not going to the new school. Hopefully Seven Lakes won't suck. And I seriously hope I don't get lost in it. Anyone been in there yet? Last time I went, they weren't finished renovating it, but I have driven around it a couple of times. Luckily, sophomore orientation (and fish camp) are this Friday, so we'll be able to look around.

28 days.

Ever heard the song Blackout by Muse? { don't kid yourself, and don't fool yourself ; this life could be the last, and we're too young to see } Or The Small Print? { take, take all you need, and i'll compensate your greed with broken hearts ; say, it'll make you insane, and it's bending the truth; you're to blame ; hope, i hope you've seen the light 'cause no one really cares; they're just pretending } Reminds me of something I'd really like to forget.

Disneyworld! [aka FBLA nationals] + new layout
Hooray for being back at home. Actually, I've been back for a little more than a week, but you know how hectic life can get. x] Finally updated for the lovely Christina. Anyway, Disneyworld was wonderful/tons of fun/exciting/all that jazz. Follow the cuts for a brief-ish summary and picspam.

Also, new layout. x] Version three featuring M U S E. Texture from Trex-ture.

Since then, I haven't done much. Annotating AD notes and reading, more or less. I did get to hang out with Jamie. I went to her house last week, and we played Connect Four and watched Coach Carter. Hehe, mmmm Lipton Green Iced Tea with Citrus. I also caught Fantastic Four with her and Andrew yesterday. Great movie! You guys should definitely go see it.

The Colour, Mad Action, KASABIAN
So... wow. It wasn't what I expected, but it was so amazing.

We get there at 7:30-ish, but we were all a little ansty that we were going to be late. Of course, we didn't think they would start a concert while it was still light out, and lo and behold... the actual supporting acts didn't even get on until 9. So basically we had to stand from 7 till the end of the concert, which was around 12:30.

But it was so worth it. We weren't expecting much from the supporting acts because the last one opening for The Music wasn't that great, btu The Colour was AMAZING. They were all quite fit and incredibly easy on the eyes, and the lead singer had the craziest dance moves. He even made eye contact with me, at least five times. And not like rabid fan girl..."OH MY GOD, I THINK HE'S LOOKING AT ME" eye contact from across the stage. It was "bend down to my eye level until about five inches from my face and push his hair back so I can clearly see his eyes" eye contact/singing. I mean, he sang to me. o.o It was so surreal. So... he probably does that at a bunch of his gigs, but he still sang to me. Nothing is bursting this bubble. x] I remember he did that for a couple of songs, and then for the third and/or fourth one, he came over to our section and smiled and looked at all of us (Christina, Joy, Seetha, CJ, Alex, me). x] Then, right before the last song, he gave me his water bottle, which may sound gross to some of you, but for a fan... I was pretty damn happy. Mad Action came on after them, and they didn't sing much, but their instrumentals were incredible. x] CJ scored one of the drummer's drumsticks. And after their set, I reached over to get a set list for Joy, and the guitarist saw, and he nodded and laughed. He then came on stage and held out his hand to me, to my surprise, and when I shook it, he handed me two guitar picks. Awww... since Seetha didn't have anything then, I gave one to her.

And then... after around 30-45 minutes of waiting, Kasabian came on! Originally, we saw Tom and Sergio before the gig coming down the stairs, and he smiled at us! So we were pretty psyched. Sergio was amazing. He even came on during Mad Action and started dancing. They're so incredible live. They started with ID and saved Club Foot for last. They played all my favorites though: Processed Beats, Cutt Off, Reason is Treason, Test Transmission. I also scored one of Sergio's guitar picks. Alex scored the drummer's drumstick, and Seetha got two guitar picks, so she gave one to Christina. Right after their performance, I jumped up over the speaker and grabbed a set list. I think I have an affinity to those. x] Anyway... They're amazing. I didn't get a hug though. x[ Woe is me.

BUT STILL. Definitely worth the waiting.
