So... wow. It wasn't what I expected, but it was so amazing.
We get there at 7:30-ish, but we were all a little ansty that we were going to be late. Of course, we didn't think they would start a concert while it was still light out, and lo and behold... the actual supporting acts didn't even get on until 9. So basically we had to stand from 7 till the end of the concert, which was around 12:30.
But it was so worth it. We weren't expecting much from the supporting acts because the last one opening for The Music wasn't that great, btu The Colour was AMAZING. They were all quite fit and incredibly easy on the eyes, and the lead singer had the craziest dance moves. He even made eye contact with me, at least five times. And not like rabid fan girl..."OH MY GOD, I THINK HE'S LOOKING AT ME" eye contact from across the stage. It was "bend down to my eye level until about five inches from my face and push his hair back so I can clearly see his eyes" eye contact/singing. I mean, he sang to me. o.o It was so surreal. So... he probably does that at a bunch of his gigs, but he still sang to me. Nothing is bursting this bubble. x] I remember he did that for a couple of songs, and then for the third and/or fourth one, he came over to our section and smiled and looked at all of us (Christina, Joy, Seetha, CJ, Alex, me). x] Then, right before the last song, he gave me his water bottle, which may sound gross to some of you, but for a fan... I was pretty damn happy. Mad Action came on after them, and they didn't sing much, but their instrumentals were incredible. x] CJ scored one of the drummer's drumsticks. And after their set, I reached over to get a set list for Joy, and the guitarist saw, and he nodded and laughed. He then came on stage and held out his hand to me, to my surprise, and when I shook it, he handed me two guitar picks. Awww... since Seetha didn't have anything then, I gave one to her.
And then... after around 30-45 minutes of waiting, Kasabian came on! Originally, we saw Tom and Sergio before the gig coming down the stairs, and he smiled at us! So we were pretty psyched. Sergio was amazing. He even came on during Mad Action and started dancing. They're so incredible live. They started with ID and saved Club Foot for last. They played all my favorites though: Processed Beats, Cutt Off, Reason is Treason, Test Transmission. I also scored one of Sergio's guitar picks. Alex scored the drummer's drumstick, and Seetha got two guitar picks, so she gave one to Christina. Right after their performance, I jumped up over the speaker and grabbed a set list. I think I have an affinity to those. x] Anyway... They're amazing. I didn't get a hug though. x[ Woe is me.
BUT STILL. Definitely worth the waiting.
